Wiis wins by two at Copperhead

Sebastian Wiis of Denmark shot a 7-under 64 to hold off a parade of challengers in the season finale of the NEXT Golf Tour Powered by Trackman.

Playing in his first tournament following a runner-up finish at the Ecco Tour Spanish Masters in February, Wiis’ bogey-free round at the Innisbrook Copperhead Course earned him $20,000 — the largest winner’s check of the season on the NEXT.

Zach Ion of Australia and Wes Heffernan of Canada both shot -5 to tie for second and earned $10,350 each. A group of 10 players tied for fourth at -4 and earned $2,949 each.
